The Tokens of Eighth Edition (8ED)

The Magic: the Gathering (MTG) core set Eighth Edition (8ED) was released on Jul 28th, 2003. It includes 1 token card.

8th Edition saw the introduction of a new 'modern' frame design for MTG cards and tokens. The 'Token' text at the top of the card was replaced with the token name. Types, expansion symbol as well as the power/toughness were given their own boxes to elevate them from the card frame and enhance readability. Card names were printed in a more modern font and Flavor text was removed.
